Abstract:

Milburn regrets that he cannot locate his letters from Osler, the last of which was written on November 25, 1919, shortly before Osler's death. He offers information regarding the town of Barrie and the Barrie Grammar School, of which Rev. F.C. Checkley was principal. Milburn, Osler, and Charlie Locke became acquainted while students at the Grammar School. Osler and Locke also attended McGill together. He mentions Osler's talent for cricket and his record 115 yard toss of a cricket ball - a throw that was never beaten. Incl. ms. notes.
