Abstract: 

Lady Osler thanks Chapin for visiting Mrs. Wright in New York. She worries about Ottilie and Marjorie, as they do not get along. Osler is still sad about Muriel leaving. She hopes Osler will one day have a granddaughter, but remarks that it is doubtful now. Osler has just returned from a Royal Commission on Education in Wales. Comments on the war. The Oslers met with the new Governor General of Canada, the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, and Lord Salisbury at the Astors's home. She mentions the Max-Mullers, Mary Cobot and Joe Revere.
