Lady Osler accompanied her husband on a consultation in the countryside. She finds it difficult to enjoy the sites while the war rages on in Europe. She writes of Campbell Gwyn and of the Canadian involvement in the war. She reports on Osler's activities and his work with the Heart Hospital. Arnold Whitredge received the Military Cross. She mentions Mr. Page and his secretary Fowler, Jack Slessor, and Joan. She lists local families whose sons have been killed or wounded.
