Lady Osler finds life strenuous and feels let down now that the military life has really begun for Revere. He has been stationed in Newcastle for training. Bob is working for the American-French Red Cross Ambulance. Osler is miserable that Ottilie is leaving with her children, he is especially fond of Muriel. Lady Osler relates news of family and friends. Osler went to London to give away a cousin, Kathleen Osler, and later found out that her brother, Stratton Osler, had been wounded. Lady Osler writes of an Osler book, which contains a family tree.
