Extract from Archibald Malloch's journal. Osler went to Cliveden and brought back the Grassetts of Toronto for tea and Sister from Ewelme. Accounts on how Osler came to know Malloch's father. Grace told him of Osler's habit of writing "James Bovell" all over bits of paper. Explains that as a youth he always liked the signature of his teacher. Mentions the dinner at the Max-Mullers. Mentions a Miss Berkam. Osler described French concours.
