Went to the Wrights for tea. Osler talked more than he ever did about the war. Gives his opinion on war. It will be won by the English Navy. Reflections on civilization. Opinion on how USA would be if Germany won the war. Differences between democracy in USA and in England. Mentions his doings with rich politicians in New York. Mentions the Headlines in the newspapers in USA relating his opinion. Osler wrote 40 letters and cards that morning. Note on Sudhoff's very kind reference to Osler in his edition of "Geschichte der Medezin".
