Abstract: 

Osler reports news from William W. Francis. He thinks that Howard should think of taking Sanatorium work. Jacobs offers him a position in Maryland. His trip has been wonderful. Cairo is a fascinating city. He mentions Phillips' work and comments on the hospital conditions. Osler declares that if Germany would have this country, it would do the Egyptians good, as they need their drastic measures to put the educational system in order. James Ross has been ill; Osler discusses his case. He writes his opinion on the conditions of the physician in Egypt. He would like to meet him. Will arrange for the Journal numbers to be sent. The Futchers will not come this Summer, but Nona and Ottilie Wright will. He mention's Hurd's resignation. He deplores his incapacity to come to the McGill opening.
