Osler congratulates Macphail on his book. He hopes he will not give up political writing. Glad that arrangements are being made for the journal. He asks Macphail to let him know when he will arrive in London. Sure that the Seville Club will pleased him. Osler has given up his membership but can manage to put him up for a month and also at the Athenaeum. Garlant's Hotel is a nice Hotel near from the Athenaeum. Civilities.

Osler asks Macphail his approximate date of arrival in London. Would like to ask a few friends, interested in Canada, to meet him at dinner at the Athenaeum. Asks him to send names of 6 or 8 men interested in Canadian affairs that he would like to meet. Will invite Strathcona. Civilities.

Osler thanks MacPhail for "Howe Speeches". Mentions that his two articles in the magazine are correct but Osler's impressions on the USA are different. From his point of view Macphail's are entirely erroneous. Osler suggests that MacPhail marry an American girl. He wishes he could send MacPhail an article before long but it is impossible for April.

Osler hopes MacPhail's eye is all right again. He hopes to have something ready for the Journal before long. He mentions that he had been head over ears in work of all sort, and does not seem to get through much. Osler asks MacPhail to send a card to say how he is. Invitation to Oxford.
