Letters sent to Greenfield, W.S.

February 14, 1900
Osler, William
Greenfield, W.S.

Osler is very sorry to hear of Grainger Stewart's death. Before committing himself as a candidate for the Chair of Medicine at Edinburgh, Osler would like to know the sentiments of the Faculty. He would also like to know about the prospects for teaching, for a laboratory and for assistants. Osler is in no rush to leave Baltimore, as he enjoys much freedom in his work. However, he would much rather hold a Chair in Edinburgh that in any other school in the English speaking world.
