Osler will send Fisher a copy of the Editio Princeps of Galen. He bought it at an auction at Sotheby's. Osler asks if Fisher had London agents. Civilities.
Osler sends Fisher his subscription and a reprint. He is glad that they got the Celsus book, a perfect gem, though Quaritch set a heavy price for it. Thanks for the Stockton-Hough book. Civilities.
Osler informs Fisher that at the Postgraduate meeting, they had their final meeting of all the representatives of the London medical schools, the Postgraduates Colleges and the special hospitals. They passed the scheme which they want to launch on April 29th at the Royal Society of Medicine. He is commissioned to ask him to take the Chair. They hope to have the American Ambassador, the representatives of the overseas Dominions and of other certain public bodies interested, and a selected group of laymen. Details on the progress of the next meeting. Optimistic comments on the scheme.
