Osler is sorry that he could not visit Thayer in Tongue. Details on their trip getting there. They get back about September 7th. He is going to the British Association and Science at Dundee. Schäfer is president this year, and he feels that he should go. His lectures have been postponed until spring, as Hadley and he have decided. Explains that he had been busy this summer and had only three ready. To finish them before September 15 would have cut his holiday. Comments on his subject " the Evolution of Modern Medicine." Good comments about Osborn Taylor's Medieval Mind. Details on Revere's fishing. It is a rainy place. Love to Sister Susan. Civilities.
