Osler advises Mackall to give his note to Bannister who can possibly help him to trace the descendants of Thomas Medwin (a friend of Byron and Shelley). Shiff, the librarian at Florence may help. Details of his itinerary to Florence. He had enjoyed Rome. He got a copy of 1476 Aristotle, "de animalium partibus" and other books relating to Medical History, De Renzi's Storia Documentata della Scuola Medica di Salerno, a dictionary of Gessner. Tribute to Gessner. Will show him a tribute on him in Oxford in August. Will be back from America July 1st. Civilities.
